Formed in 1996, Handsome were the brainchild of some of the most creative minds in alternative rock coming together to create something wholly unique, unrelenting, and unexpected.
Featuring members of Helmet, Quicksand, Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees) Band, Jets to Brazil (Jawbreaker) and legendary punk bands Cro-Mags and Murphy’s Law, Handsome delivered their Terry Date (Deftones, Incubus, Soundgarden) produced self-titled debut album via Epic/Sony in February 1997 and immediately hit the road in support of lead single “Needles” with the likes of Silverchair, Less Than Jake and Wu-Tang Clan.
Long out of print, Handsome is available as a special edition vinyl release featuring, for the very first time, two unreleased songs “Closer” and “Spill” on a limited edition 7″ through srcvinyl. Mastered for vinyl and lacquers made by the famous Stan Ricker, an audio engineer responsible for many of Mobile Fidelity’s most heralded past releases. Handsome stands as landmark masterwork untouched by time that rewards listeners with every spin, making full use of the dynamic range that only high quality vinyl can provide this special LP reissue is sure to be a hit with fans and collectors alike.
